Kanchanpur, Aug. 1: A man was found dead near Daiji Bazaar in Kanchanpur district today. The deceased has been identified as Lal Bahadur Khuna, 20, of Suda-4 in the district, according to Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Jhalari, Gyan Bahadur Seti. He said that Khuna had deep injuries on his head. Seti added that they have forwarded investigation into the incident to find out reason behind Khuna’s death.

Police suspect that someone might have killed Khuna after hitting on his head while he was returning home from work. Preparation was underway to take the body at Mahakali Zonal Hospital, Mahendranagar, for postmortem.

Banepa, Aug 2: The local administration has asked the local people to remain in high alert position in eight VDCs of Kavre district around the Sunkoshi River bank after the landslide blocked river water making a big lake in Jure of Mankha VDC, Sindhupalchowk.

Locals in Dolalghat area have already been shifted to the safer areas, said Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kavre, Kedar Neupane.

The further disasters could be determined from the nature of the water flow after the opening of the river lake, Neupane said.

The administration has adopted high alertness in Bhumlutar, Sarsyukharka, Koshidekha, Boldifediche, Saramthali, and Metckshe among others VDCs in the district.

CDO Neupane has already reached to Dolalghat to acquire details of settlements affected by the river blockage.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the Security Committee in Sunsari district has also decided to deploy police to inform the people around the sensitive areas to alert them from possible flood in the river.

The police personnel are learnt to have been deployed at Barahakshetra, Mahendranagar, Prakashpur, Madhuwan, Western Kushah, Haripur, and Koshi barrage area of Sunsari to maintain high alert from possible flood.

Nepalgunj, Aug. 1: A Neonatal Intensive-Care Unit (NICU) has been brought into operation at Bheri Zonal Hospital, Banke. According to the hospital, the service was brought into operation after KAICA, a Korean organisation, provided financial for the same. The NICU has 10 beds.

Children suffering from different diseases and health problems including anemia, jaundice, pneumonia, respiratory and low weight are treatment at the NICU.

he DEO, Rautahat has started distributing scholarship amount of the fiscal year 2070-71 BS to conflict victim students. The office has received scholarship amount of 249 conflict-victim students.

District Education Officer Arbind Kumar Lal Karna, said that a total of 235 applications have been filed at the office so far for the same.

According to the Office, it has started distributing scholarship amount to such students from July 27 as per the decision of a meeting held at the DEO under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer, Madan Bhujel.

कुकुरले लखपति बनायो सिराहाका किसानलार्इ !

१४ साउन, सिरहा । बलिउड फिल्म खेल्ने कुकुरहरुले लाखौं लाख कमाई गर्दै गरेको सुन्नुभएको होला तर सिरहामा एक कुकुरले लाखै रुपैयाँ कमाइ गरी मालिकलाई लखपति बनाएको सुन्दा आश्चर्य लाग्न सक्छ तर कुरा सत्य हो ।

भेडा चराउन गोठालो चाहिन्छ तर सिरहाको दक्षिणवर्ती गाविस बेतौना बस्ने बलदेव पालका कुकुरले नै दुई सय २५ भेडाको गोठालाको काम गरिदिएपछि उत्पादन भएका भेडाको बिक्रीबाट लखपति बनेका छन् ।

A DAD captured the moment he delivered his wife's baby on the street outside a hospital on a GoPro camera. Kristin Dickerson, 31, from Rosenberg, Texas, was nearly two weeks overdue when she was rushed to hospital to give birth to her baby son. Husband Troy, 30, decided to film the momentous event with his GoPro camera which he strapped to his head. The dad-to-be had a shock when he was forced to catch his newborn boy from hitting the pavement as his wife gave birth on the curb. The amazing footage captures the moment pregnant Kristin found herself unable to wait and gave birth standing up outside Texas Children's Hospital. Their son, named Truett, was born at 2:05 a.m. just as a team of 10 nurses rushed out of the hospital to assist the family.
