Kathmandu, Aug. 22: The Nepal Telecom has provided Rs. 20 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund this morning.
At a programme organised at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar, Chairman of the Nepal Telecom and Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications, Sunil Bahadur Malla, handed over a cheque of Rs. 20 million to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal, and Nepal Telecom board members were present on the occasion.
Acting Executive Director of the Telecom, Buddhi Prasad Acharya, said that out of the financial support, around Rs. 3.5 million was collected from Telecom employees, around Rs 2.5 million from board members and the remaining was managed from the Telecom’s fund.
