Kalikot, Aug. 16: The slogan of ’Mobile phone in everybody’s hand and internet in each house’ has come into implementation in remote village. With speedy development of information and communications technology, the internet access in distant villages of Kalikot has increased. Locals, who were not even aware about internet service and its applications earlier, have now started using the internet to send and receive message and access important information. Ganesh Bikram Shahi, a photo studio operator, of Raskot, Kalikot said villagers have been elated with the increasing use of internet to ease access to information and communications as a part of life. Shahi added that he has been providing internet service however it is costly and sometimes dysfunctional with a motive that internet access should come to the domain of every people irrespective of geographical access.
