Parasi, Aug. 17: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Development and Federal Affairs Prakash Man Singh has expressed firm belief that the second Constituent Assembly (CA) would promulgate a new written constitution by coming January 22.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Singh said this while concluding a weeklong programme organized by Nepali Congress Gaindakot Municipal Committee at Gaindakot today on the occasion of birth centenary and 32nd Memorial Day of veteran democratic and socialist leader BP Koirala.

 

DPM Singh, also the general secretary of the NC, made it clear that the party has moved ahead the principle of democratic socialism adopted by towering figure of the Nepali politics, BP Koirala, as an open policy.

 

Clarifying that the NC and UML alliance is a must to promulgate a constitution in the country, he claimed the constitution would be delivered on January 22.

 

General Secretary Singh gave away awards and letter of certificate to winner students in the oratory contest organized by NC Gaindakot Committee on BP’s multidimensional personality.
