Aryan Sigdel to do become a gangster in Naaike

Director from Pokhara, Netra Gurung, has announced his new movie ‘Naaike’ during a press meet organized in Pokhara. The leas actor of the movie will be Aryan Sigdel, who will be featured as the leader of a gang. The actress of the movie is yet to be finalized. Other actors in the movie include Rem BK and Bodhraj Regmi.

The movie ‘Naaike’ is going to be made on a story of gangster and is being produced by Jagdish Khanal, Anandsharan Chhetri, Narayan Khanal, Sangita Parjuli and Resha Gurung. The executive producer is Bishnu Hamal and the banner is The Black Shadow. The director Gurung has also written the story of the movie.


The shooting of the movie is expected to start in a few days. The shooting will be done in various locations in and around Pokhara.

Namrata Shrestha to writing a movie, planning to direct it herself

One of the versatile actresses of Nepali movie industry, Namrata Shrestha, is writing the story of a movie. The model turned actress is a very good actress and dancer is known to work in movies that have stories that appeal to her.

According to an online magazine, Namrata has finished writing the first few chapters. Apart from being the writer of the movie, she is also planning on testing her directorial skills in the movie. It seems to be shaping up, to be a complete Namrata Shrestha movie with writing, direction and acting. The desire to direct  movie came from the fact that her some of her friends have already started film direction. But, she is willing to wait a while and establish herself in the acting career.


Before jumping in film making Namrata is studying the trends of movie and the progress it is doing. She is planning to take a few years in writing scripts and then start the actual production. So, it seems we need to wait a while before we can see a complete Namrata Shrestha movie.

This is not the first time an actress has written story in movies. Last time, actress Arunima Lamsal had written the script of ‘Deep Shikha’. It’s another story, the movie was a flop, and sent the writer Arunima Lamsal to rest. Arunima also took a break from acting when she decided to give birth to her daughter.

Rajesh Hamal proved his talent in Court Martial, it earned record breaking 15 lakhs in 32 days

At the time when movies haven’t been able to recover their investments and a theater play has managed to earn 15 lakh in 32 days. The play titled ‘Court Martial’ is directed by Anup Baral and the main actor of the play is the superstar of Nepali movies, Rajesh Hamal. The play also features the well known actors like Dayahang Rai, Subash Thapa and Diya Maskey.

It it believed that the paly ‘Court Martial’ has created the foundation of the professional theater in Nepal. The earning of the play is a record breaking amount. Although it was the debut play of Hamal, he has proved his acting talent in it.


Apart from regular shows, various organizations and colleges had done charity shows of the play. Ex-prime minister Baburam Bhattarai and government officers had watched the play and appreciated it. After March, the play team is planning to go to different cities, out of Kathmandu.

Karishma Manandhar Facebook account compromised

Nepali actress Karishma Manandhar has stated that a lot of friend requests were sent from her Facebook account without her knowledge -

Karishma expressed her surprise on such activities in her account. It is likely that the password of her account was compromised. It seems, the issue has gotten complicated and Karishma has decided to take the account offline. As of the time of this writing, Karishma’s account is not available.

Traash’ actresses Anu Shah and Reeya Shrestha didn’t talk during the shooting -

The movie released today, on January 3, ‘Traash’ was not an easy task for the director Prakash Ojha because of the misunderstanding between the two actresses. The actresses Anu Shah and Reeya Shrestha didn’t talk and wouldn’t shoot together during the shooting of the movie. -

According to a report, the actresses stopped talking to each other after the start of the shooting. The director had to take separate takes for the two actresses. The reason of the complication wasn’t known to anybody except the two actresses.

The initial reports of the movie aren’t that exciting.

Jiya KC claims of not doing vulgar movies

Jiya’s movie ‘ATM’ faced a tough time since the release of it’s trailer. The censor board rejected the majority of the movie and it had to be reshot. On release, the movie was banned from theater and later re-released when the court allowed it to release in theaters. After that, she had done other controversial movies like ‘Barbad’ and ‘Ring Road’. -



Most of Jiya’s movies were awarded ‘A’ certificates – suitable for the viewers older than 16-years-old. Jiya has claimed that she was wearing the dresses of current generation. But, she didn’t talk about the explicit dialogues in the movies. -
