The president Ram Baran Yadav invited ‘Jhola’ actress Garima Pant to his residence and congratulated her for winning international award. Garima Pant was awarded the best actress award at the SAARC Film Festival held in Sri Lank in May.After meeting the president, Garima said that she was very happy and encouraged to do better in her upcoming movies.

Harshika Shrestha ‘Khatarnak’ accident (photo update). he actress of the upcoming movie ‘Khatarnak’, Harshika Shrestha met with an accident during the shooting. We reported about the incident in our previous post. Now, this is an update with the photos of the actress being carried after the accident and being treated.
On this Friday, Harshika’s movie ‘Mukhauta’ is going to release and she has expressed her sadness on being bed-ridden at that time.


Harshika’s foot was placed into a cast to help it in healing.

Jharana Thapa in music video. These days actress Jharana Thapa is absent in movies. She however has recently shot a music video.
A skilled actress, Jharana occasionaly appears in music video. REcenlty she had acted in a song titled ‘Phool Jasti Jun ko pani’ with model Dipendra Ghimire.


The song in Pramod Kharel’s voice features the lyrics of Bharat Malla and Thakur Pratap Dulal’s music. The music video is directed by Bishesh Poudel was shot in various locations in Dhulikhel and Dolalghat.

Priyanka Karki fainted after winning Popular Actress Award at OFA 2071

Priyanka Karki fainted after winning Popular Actress Award at OFA 2071. Because of the heat at the venue of OFA 2071 ceremony, the actress who won the Popular Actress Award, Priyanka Karki, fainted and had to be carried away. Priyanka fainted while seating backstage.

When actor Jiwan Luitel saw Priyanka fainting, he helped to carry her out of the venue. In addition to feeling uneasy because of the heat, Priyanka had also had tummy ache.


Although she felt better after being brought out of the venue, Priyanka was taken to Norvic Hospital for diagnosis and treatment. The doctors at the hospital believe that the problem was cause because of weakness. Priyanka was given an Intravenous fluid to hydrate and recover.

In the film award, ‘Nai Nabhannu La 2′ became the movie to get the most award. Actress Ashishma Nakarmi also got the Popular New Actress award

Karishma starts shooting of Heros

Karishma starts shooting for Nepali movie Heros. A NB Maharjan’s movie ‘Heros’ is going to feature Karishma Manandhar in lead role. The shooting of the female oriented film has started in Pokhara.

With Karishma the movie will feature Mukesh Dhakal and Jaya Kishan Basnet in leading roles. The cinematographer of the movie is Shiva Dhakal and features the music of Tanka Budhathoki and Kishor Chaudhari. The producers of the mvoie are Laxmi Lama and Shekhar Lama. Karishma will be staying in Pokhara for a few weeks for the shooting.


In previous interviews, Karishma had told that she only does movies with good roles of her. Karishma’s another movie ‘One Way’ is waiting it’s release.

World Cup Football craze in Nepali actresses. Like a lot of Nepali people, the World Cup 2014 of FIFA Football has affected Nepali actresses. We have compiled a list of actresses and their favorite teams.
Miss Nepal 2011 and ‘Ritu’ actress, Malina Joshi is a fan of Brazil. Another actress, Keki Adhikari, is fan of Argentina. She had posted photo of herself wearing the jersey of her favorite team. Actress Garima Pant is also Argentina fan. Actress Richa Sharma is a fan of Germany fan. Model and item dancer Archana Dellala is a fan of Portugal team. Comedy actress Deepa Shree Niraula is Brazil fan and she has also played football in her comedy serial ‘Tito Satya‘. Actress Khusbu Khadka is also an Argentina fan.


Actress Karishma Manandhar doesn’t have a preference now. She will decide on her favorite team after watching the initial matches.

Garima Pant cries in Dishanirdesh

Garima Pant cries in Dishanirdesh. Actress Garima Pant was featured in popular interview show by Bijaya Raj Pandey’s in Dishanirdesh. In the interview Garima cried in real when she was told to act for the viewers. Although it was only an acting, she brought the feelings of the character to cry in real.
Pandey interviews person of public interest in the talk show. After winning SAARC Best Actress award for ‘Jhola’, Garima has been in the lime light for the last few weeks. The president called her and congratulated and she was the headlines of film magazines.


In the episode featuring Garima, she does some of her acting and cried for real while doing one of them.
