Priyanka Karki fainted after winning Popular Actress Award at OFA 2071. Because of the heat at the venue of OFA 2071 ceremony, the actress who won the Popular Actress Award, Priyanka Karki, fainted and had to be carried away. Priyanka fainted while seating backstage.

When actor Jiwan Luitel saw Priyanka fainting, he helped to carry her out of the venue. In addition to feeling uneasy because of the heat, Priyanka had also had tummy ache.


Although she felt better after being brought out of the venue, Priyanka was taken to Norvic Hospital for diagnosis and treatment. The doctors at the hospital believe that the problem was cause because of weakness. Priyanka was given an Intravenous fluid to hydrate and recover.

In the film award, ‘Nai Nabhannu La 2′ became the movie to get the most award. Actress Ashishma Nakarmi also got the Popular New Actress award

Nisha Adhikari and Priyanka Karki helped the wife of dressman Kuldeep

Actress Nisha Adhikari and Priyanka Karki have helped Dilmaya Adhikari, the wife of dressman in Nepali movie industry, Kuldeep. In addition to helping financially, the actresses have also asked everybody to help Kuldeep and his wife. -


In a Facebook statement, Priyanka says, "She is the wife of Kuldip dressman. I say dress-man because that way a lot of my friends and colleagues in the Nepali film industry will know who I am talking about." Priyanka had worked with Kuldeep in three different films and she had found him a very hardworking and focused man. Kuldeep’s wife has been hospitalized for the past four months and she had undergone two major surgeries in that time.


Funds are the major hurdle for the couple. In addition to financial support, they also need emotional support. Priyanka has asked everybody to support her financially and emotionally and shared Kuldeep’s phone number (984-9178217).

‘Kollywood’ is a Nepali movie by Group One Creation. The movie is about the insider’s story of Nepali movie industry.Initially Namrata Shrestha was supposed to be featured in ‘Kollywood’ and Namrata was also present in the inauguration. But, later Payal Thapa was featured instead. The movie based on the struggle of Nepali movie artists also features Miss Nepal 2011 Malina Joshi as an item girl.

The movie was more focused in foreign market than the Nepali market. It started with the director Navaraj Acharya acquiring the release rights of the movie in the USA. The movie was premiered in Doha before it was released in Nepal. At the time the audio of the movie was also released. The film team organized another event at the end of 2012 in Nepal to release the audio again.  The red carpet premier of the movie was held in Qatar.
