two women

Two women were trapped in the middle of a railway bridge recently as a 100 car coal train was moving toward them. Miraculously, the women survived. The incident occurred on a bridge 80 feet above the water on and Indiana railroad line located Northeast of Bloomington at Lake Lemon just after day break. The train’s engineer thought he killed the people who fell on the tracks under his train, but somehow the women survived their encounter with the moving train. Incredibly, the women crawled out from under the engine and ran. Authorities have identified the women, who will soon be prosecuted for criminal trespassing.

fire pier

A huge fire has broken out at Eastbourne Pier after one of the arcade buildings caught alight at the popular seaside resort. At least 60 fire-fighters are battling to save the iconic Victorian landmark, where the blaze is tearing through the large two-storey arcade building. Scores of beachgoers and tourists have been evacuated from the area by police as fire-fighters attack the flames. Despite high winds hampering efforts in battling the blaze, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said crews are making “reasonable progress” from the coastal side of the building, from the beach and from underneath the Pier. Police have said no-one appeared to be trapped on the pier, adding they were not treating it as suspicious
